用"膾炙人口"來形容這首歌應該不過分,如果排個英文情歌史上100強的話應該也不過分,雖然有聲音質疑這首歌的創意跟Lionel Richie的"Hello"有異曲同工之妙,不過都無損於作品本身的價值,如果以我主觀的觀點來看的話,兩者確實有相近之處,不過情緒處理上的巧妙不同,"Hello"的語氣比較帶著對關係的不確定感,在感情進展上是處於尚未明朗的還處於單相思的階段,但是"Suddenly"是表達對於愛情的一種喜悅與感激,感謝這段成熟的關係所給予的體驗與表達滿溢的愛意.

"I Heard A Rumor" by Bananarama

選舉快到了,來個應景的歌曲,I Heard A Rumor,我聽到個謠言

好吧,我試圖說個冷笑話,好像不是很成功,
Bananarama也是80年代的無敵天團之一,
喧嘩熱鬧的舞曲加上對愛情困惑的趣味歌詞
事實證明市場很吃這套,像"Venus", "Love in the First Degree" 跟這首 "I Heard a Rumour"都大賣.
除此之外當然少不了有趣的MV,雖然今日看來有點舊
不過認真看會發現有些後來台灣MV偷學的地方,這是另外一種趣味吧

不管藍的綠的,大家都在收集謠言跟放謠言,
如果因為政治立場支持某方就照單全收該方的說法,全面否定另外一方的說法,
那顯然不是很明智,不過不失為污辱自己智慧的捷徑

從Miami Vice 聯想到 Jerry_Bruckheimer

80年代Miami Vice這部影集到底有多紅,當年的錄影機時代,資訊量沒有現在多,如果說比現在的CSI還紅我覺得不過份


這部影集讓我聯想到Jerry BruckHeimer(CSI的製作人),是不是有受到影響我不知道,但是我知道這部片裡面的元素在Jerry BruckHeimer製作的賣座片中也一再的被運用,爆破場面,名車,警匪追逐,雖然我不是要介紹Jerry BruckHeimer不過用他的片串起來嚇嚇人也挺有趣,首先CSI系列不用講,電影部分更恐怖,捍衛戰士(Top Gun),絕地戰警(Bad Boys),絕地任務(The Rock),空中監獄(Con Air),世界末日(Armageddon),全民公敵(Enemy of the State),神鬼奇航三部曲,國家寶藏.....好吧!你覺得這怎麼可能對吧!這傢伙簡直是好萊塢國王嘛!

有個評語很有趣2007 - Ranked #14 on EW's The 50 Smartest People in Hollywood.娛樂週刊把他在好萊塢最聰明的50人中排名第14.有興趣的話可以把他製作的片全部租回家看一遍,應該要敗不少錢在百事達租片吧!

接下來回到Miami Vice這部影集膾炙人口的片頭,我國中時非常想知道這段音樂的作者,不過當時的資訊很少,Internet跟Google真的是我們的好朋友,原來作者是Jan Hammer下面這版的Miami Vice Theme有他的真面目,劇情很有趣,調查探員好像拿到線民給的密報,然後組長說了句很帥氣的"He is here",然後相片上的就是我們的配樂家Jan Hammer,毒梟式的出場,雖然是20年前的點子我還是覺得真是酷.

OK,這篇只是一時興起把我想到的東西串起來,I hope that you enjoy it as I do.

Heartbeat by Don Johnson

這首歌坦白說是來亂的,我沒特別喜歡也沒特別討厭,不過Don Johnson在哪個80年代絕對算是個頭號人物,歌詞大概是為了讓美國為數不少的文盲(illiterate)也能接受,淺顯易懂,呃也沒什麼內容,當年Don Johnson在電視螢光幕上可是紅到不行,開著法拉利帥氣的臥底警探(白人警探開的車比黑人警探的顯然要高檔的多),在Miami帥氣的飆車把妹臥底辦案,"Miami Vice"說是那個年代最紅的影集一點也不為過,不過這首歌被我列為根Samansa Fox的"Touch Me"同等級的歌.應該是為了當時他的師奶市場量身打造的吧!

順帶一提,以下為個人偏見,電影版的Miami Vice真是個不知所云的片,劇情沒張力,情節沒什麼曲折,連槍戰都不刺激,除了鞏俐衝個話題好像比較特別外,實在不知道這部片有什麼值得看的地方,算是我看電影人生中覺得最花冤枉錢的前幾名(跟鐵男躲避球爭冠亞軍).

"Sara" by Starship

這一定是慘綠少年強說愁,一個國二男生哪來這種失去心愛女人的感覺,不過這首歌當時也是我一再重複聽的歌之一.藍調口琴的前奏一響起,整個空氣就凝結在那種追憶的情緒中.緬懷如流水般逝去的戀情(當時當然沒有,現在嗎?我沒有交過叫Sara的女友).

第一次聽這首歌應該是國二的聖誕節前夕,當時的國中生其實談不上什麼過節
雖然當時行憲紀念日有放假,好像還是要去學校考試,
不過等公車旁的唱片行不停的放,不知不覺這首歌似乎成了我覺得好像聖誕節一定要有的歌曲
對中學生來說這種帶有戀愛傷痕的應景歌曲,也許比起其他的聖誕歌曲更有情感的感染力吧

過了數不清的聖誕節(其實是不想算清楚),George Michael的聲音還是充滿渲染力
每次有人重唱這首歌或是"Careless Whisper",總不免在心裡嘀咕還是沒有原唱的味道
抱歉,Andrew Ridgeley最後還是被忽略了
不過根據Wiki的記載Andrew在之後的人生過得十分順遂
遠離鎂光燈,生意做得不錯,而且是個環保人士

雖然不知道是不是大家都很喜歡自己的少年時期
不過我倒是很懷念當時天真充滿遠大目標的自己

一開始聽這首歌沒抓到完整的意思
還以為是要敘述不同階級的男女發生戀情
不過真的認真把歌詞看完
發現是在描述現代城市裡階級差距及人際的疏離感
及對冷漠社會的無力感

在這裡讓我想到很多人在公司中的處境應該也是如此吧
借用一下珂琳娜‧梅耶（Corinne Maier)這位法國女士提的"顛覆工作 悄悄撤退"

"在這種個人發展無望、社會前景黯淡的情況下，那些還在以當個高階主管

呃,這實在是首讓人embarrassing的懷念歌曲
國中跟著同學去海報攤逛,當時一張20元新台幣就可以買一張
我買過Wham跟阿諾的魔鬼司令海報(我爸說瘦排骨貼這個有用嗎?)
在其他外國歌星跟影星的海報下
隱藏著Samantha Fox的"呼之欲出"海報
還有"欲蓋彌彰"海報
以及國中男生都想買但絕對沒膽子貼在家裡的
英國太陽報The Sun 有名的Page3 Topless Girl那張
太陽報基本上就跟比蘋果還要猛的報紙,Page 3固定都是清涼的,請自己去網站上看

很出乎大家的意料之外這位當年的性感女神
在這首MV中包的很緊(說真的155的身高,這種比例上半身根本就是個球)
不過這首歌歌詞整個可以用以下的公式來表示
性暗示*100

除了歌詞很多性暗示外(其實是明示了),MV還有些很詭異的花招
例如Keyboard手會轉個三百六十度姿勢,回頭繼續彈
還有穿得超詭異爬上台的怪聽眾很奇怪的配合舞蹈
其實最有趣的是,這首歌的MV當年在台灣沒有被禁
因為是英文的所以沒被抓到吧
在那個會強調音樂不能違反善良風俗要教化人心的時代.

這首歌要是能寫出青澀的慘綠少年回憶
那對文字的操弄已經是神的境界
大概可以跟 出師表,陳情表還有祭十二郎文並列了吧
讀《出師表》不哭者不忠，讀《陳情表》不哭者不孝，讀《祭十二郎文》不哭者不慈
(如果有中學生GOOGLE這些關鍵字卻看到這篇,應該會生氣吧! XD)

又是首80年代的歌,當年只要是David Foster的出品應該說就是暢銷的保證
不過這時候我才剛剛被啟蒙,這首歌就成為我當年聽過好想找的歌之一
也不知道歌名也不知道歌手的國一生找不到是意料中的事
只有Through the fire這個句子跟Chaka Khan充滿爆發力深情的歌聲
會在某些特殊的情境下再次從腦海中湧出

時間對這首歌中為愛付出的無所畏懼沒有造成一點磨損
成年的我卻早已沒有那種一往無前的勇氣了

坦白說當時我一直弄不清楚到底女主唱是誰,每次就只聽到歌名跟Peter Cetera的名字.當時如果沒有趕上看余光音樂雜誌,就要聽星期天下午ICRT的American Top 40.當時我的聽力每次都只能專心的抓歌名,然後來決定要不要按下錄音機的Record鍵.

常常一閃神就 "...啊!前奏開始了,是這首喔,"
然後錄了一堆前奏只有一半 或是還有DJ說話的歌.

雖然我對這首歌中Amy Grant的甜美聲音十分傾倒,
但是他後來1991年的個人專輯"Heart in Motion"中的暢銷曲"Baby Baby"
中學生的我卻總是沒耐心聽完他,給我一種過於甜膩的煩躁感

多年後再次看到這個MV,人生也過了好幾次面對NEXT TIME的情況了

在記憶中這首歌發行的時候我已經上高中了,開始外地生生活,聽收音機的時間變多了,看電視的時間則變得很少(沒電視),這首歌輕快的旋律加上這種對慘綠高中生具強大殺傷力的初戀詞,很快的成為我喜愛的歌曲,不過人生真的是需要緣分,因為當時看電視頻率的降低,加上那幾年好像余光大人的節目好像收起來了(或是趕不回去看),我居然從來沒看過這首歌的MV.說真的對這兩位的長相也沒有印象.只有旋律倒是很深刻的烙在記憶裡.

愛情累積經驗值其實是不會升級的,只是失去一往無前的勇氣

這首歌的歌詞說真的就是個很直接天真到有點幼稚的情歌,
有趣的是我國中的時候還蠻愛的,
問題是我每次回到家余光音樂雜誌,MV不是播過了就是已經播一半
好吧,雖然當時英文還在起步中
也從節目跟ICRT中拼出了團名叫Outfield
歌名是" All the Love in the World"
然後神奇的是我每天上完輔導課趁公車還沒來之前去唱片行找他們的專輯
斷斷續續找到我都上高中了還是沒看見

然後到幾年前,也就是這首歌問世的十幾年後
我去當時還沒倒的Tower看到特價的Sony版經典CD
於是我很開心的為了兩首主打歌把Outfield的CD帶回家

感謝Youtube,線在連MV都可以再次看見
雖然這首歌真的不是什麼突出傑作
不過,我還是很開心能把它收進來
我空閒時可以再看看它的MV 回想一下我在唱片行瞎找的時光

"Shout" from Tears for Fears

我對這首歌抱持著的感情是非常特別的.國二時買了一生中第一捲專輯錄音帶就是Tears for Fears(盒子上翻驚懼之淚).第一次在電視上看到MV時(余光音樂雜誌,星期六上輔導課為了趕上節目時間,會狂飆腳踏車),對當時幼稚的我是相當大的衝擊,其實歌詞聽得懂的也不多,不過就很喜歡他們的歌,年少輕狂雖然不再,不過世界卻總是需要憤怒青年.

氣勢很強的副歌加上使用適度的電子樂,不管我們現在是否已滿頭華髮,再一次跟著Tears for Fears一吐胸中的鬱悶吧.

永遠的青春Forever Young,有可能嗎?

Do you want to live forever? and forever young?

這題目大概可以寫到我一點都不年輕都還沒寫完.而且說實話80年代時這不是我的愛歌,雖然它很紅,不過其實只是因為它跟主題切合才納進來的.數年前曾經去上一個英文閱讀班,雜誌上有篇文章是跟醫學進步如果解開基因中老化的秘密會造成什麼影響,於是老師問大家的想法,當時還算年輕,大概當時正在看些佛書(想消除煩惱,還有業障),於是我說:"Maybe it's not a good idea to disturb the law of nature.If aging is not avoidable, we should accept it and face it."講完覺得自己好棒,老師說:"You said that,because you're still young."

然後我繼續老,也很久沒想到這件事,以前我會想說反正一個年紀會有一個年紀的樂趣吧.雖然好像沒有年輕時那麼多,雖然還是常裝年輕,不過忙碌跟生活壓力及閒暇時間的減少還是生活樂趣的殺手,幸好有回學校唸書給自己找新目標,不然大概會很茫然吧.

寫了一大堆,其實只想丟一個問題出來,朋友間討論外國影星時,有聽過不少人有相同的看法,就是覺得史恩康納萊Sean Connery上了年紀比他年輕時更帥更有味道,問題來了,今天假設你是Sean本人,請問你覺得自己60歲帥還是25歲帥?

我自己想了一下,25,不過希望真的60的時候有人說我比年輕更有味道.
如果有人想出60且很有說服力的答案請告訴我.
